What is the full form of AMIEAMIE: Associate Member of the Institution of EngineersAMIE stands for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. It is a professional certification given by Institution of Engineers. This is an important degree for students who are unable to pursue regular engineering degree from a Technical University or Engineering College in India. This certification is considered as the equivalent to the degree of engineering and once a student completed this certification he can opt for the Masters Degree from any recognized university. There are two types of membership in this certification: 1) Technician Member: Its minimum criteria is to pass at least 12th standard with 45% minimum aggregate. 2) Senior Technician Member: There are two mandatory qualifications held for becoming a senior technician member.
