What is the full form of AMIEAMIE: Associate Member of the Institution of EngineersAMIE stands for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. It is a professional certification given by Institution of Engineers. This is an important degree for students who are unable to pursue regular engineering degree from a Technical University or Engineering College in India. This certification is considered as the equivalent to the degree of engineering and once a student completed this certification he can opt for the Masters Degree from any recognized university. There are two types of membership in this certification: 1) Technician Member: Its minimum criteria is to pass at least 12th standard with 45% minimum aggregate. 2) Senior Technician Member: There are two mandatory qualifications held for becoming a senior technician member. Note: The candidate's age must be at least 18 years and candidate should have diploma or degree in technology or engineering valid by the council. ExamsThe exams of AMIE are held two times in a year in summer and winter or June and December respectively.
