i) SLR: Single Lens Reflex

SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. It is used in high quality cameras. SLR utilizes an automatic moving mirror system that facilitates photographers to see exactly what will be captured by the film or digital imaging system. It uses a mirror and prism system to see exactly what will be captured.

It is commonly known as DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera.

Advantage

The main advantage of SLR camera over others is that the lenses can be changed to get the desired images.

Disadvantage

The main disadvantage of SLR camera over others is that it is heavier and costlier. It costs pretty more than point-and-shots camera.
